A Father's First Letter to His Son on the Day He Was Born

First Letter of A Father to His Son on the Day He Was Born

21 September 2020

My Dearest Son Ghazaan:

As I sit down to write to you on this day, the day of your birth, my heart has already been torn into pieces by your mother and I am struggling to collect the pieces of my broken heart with a mix of emotions that are difficult to put into words. Today should be a day of immense joy and celebration, as the world welcomes a new life into its embrace. But for me, it is a day tinged with profound sadness and heartache, for I am unable to be by your side to welcome you into this world.

From the moment I learned of your impending arrival, my heart swelled with anticipation and love. I imagined holding you in my arms, feeling the weight of your tiny body against mine, and whispering words of love and encouragement into your ear. I dreamed of watching you grow and flourish, guiding you through life's ups and downs, and witnessing the incredible person you would become.

But alas, fate had other plans, and your mother's actions have torn us apart before we even had the chance to meet. My heart breaks knowing that I cannot be there to witness your first breath, to cradle you in my arms, and to shower you with the love and affection that you deserve. The thought of you entering this world without me by your side fills me with a pain that cuts to the core of my being.

My dear son, please know that my absence does not diminish the love that I hold for you in my heart. Every beat of my heart is filled with love and longing for you, and not a day goes by that I do not think of you and yearn for the opportunity to be a part of your life. You are my flesh and blood, my precious child, and nothing in this world could ever change that.

I want you to know that I will never stop fighting for you, my son. Despite the obstacles that stand in our way, I will do everything in my power to be a part of your life, to shower you with the love and affection that you deserve, and to ensure that you know just how much you are cherished and adored.

Until the day comes when we can be together, please know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I will hold onto the hope that one day soon, we will be reunited, and I will finally have the chance to hold you in my arms and tell you how much you mean to me.

With all my love,

Your Father
